Mechanics Bank is currently searching for a Private Banker to join our team. This role will be working on‑site in Seattle, Washington or San Francisco, California.
Role Overview As a Private Banker Relationship Manager, you will develop high‑net‑worth private client relationships and provide a full complement of banking and financial services, including residential mortgages, business lines of credit, other credit facilities, deposits and investment management. You will acquire clients by networking with community, professional service firms and real‑estate brokers, building referral networks to provide superior service.
Responsibilities
Service: Be the single point of contact for clients, ensuring timely handling of inquiries and requests within SLA and building lasting relationships.
Growth: Grow deposits and utilize credit facilities to attract private banking clients, leveraging deep understanding of credit, underwriting, pricing, risk, treasury management and local real‑estate markets.
Collaboration: Work with internal partners across the bank to expand cross‑selling and provide clients with the necessary financial tools.
Marketing: Align with local associations, networking groups and COIs to market yourself and the bank; attend events targeting high‑net‑worth individuals.
Team: Work with other private bankers, attend client calls, and assist in training and development of less experienced team members.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years related experience in private banking and lending.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Management, Finance or related field preferred; otherwise equivalent work experience.
High School or GED required.
Travel required: 10‑20%.
Strong analytical, communication, negotiation and team skills; ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines.
Basic accounting and credit analysis skills; proficiency with banking software and data systems.
Compensation Salary Range: $108,120.00 – $194,600.00 annually. Eligible for commission/incentive plans.
