Job Description Location: Denver, Colorado

Role: Water/Wastewater Engineering Project Manager. Supports and leads projects for water and wastewater clients primarily in the Denver area and nationally. Projects include water distribution and sewage collection systems, pump stations, reservoirs, hydraulic structures, and treatment facilities.

Responsibilities

Technical oversight of design staff and team members for water and wastewater infrastructure projects including pipelines, collection systems, pump stations, storage tanks, treatment systems.

Identify new business opportunities, coordinate and present to clients and external groups, and promote AECOM’s capabilities.

Participate in project opportunity evaluation, consultant selection, and preparation of qualification/experience statements.

Coordinate and participate in contract negotiations with clients and subcontractors, drafting professional service agreements and addenda for senior management review.

Direct project team and client compliance with contract terms and monitor subcontractors’ compliance with contractual commitments.

Prepare project work plan, scope, schedule, and budget; communicate to team members and monitor production for compliance with schedule, budget, and quality objectives.

Supervise technical professionals, associate project managers, and design staff, managing workload and staffing.

Monitor and report financial status of projects to technical managers.

Perform additional duties as required by the supervisor.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related discipline plus eight (8) years of related experience or equivalent.

Professional Engineering (PE) license in Colorado, or the ability to obtain one within the first six months of employment.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working on municipal projects.

Familiarity with ArcGIS, AutoCAD, REVIT, MicroStation, SWMM, and/or Storm/Sewer/WaterCAD.

Experience working with local clients in Colorado.

Proven interpersonal skills, including client interaction, public speaking, and persuasive ability; strong financial management and team leadership.

Compensation The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $115,000 to $180,000 per year.
