Software Engineer – UI & API Automation (Playwright)

Overview:

We’re seeking a Software Engineer with strong experience building scalable UI and API automation frameworks using Playwright. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain automated test solutions that improve product quality, accelerate release cycles, and support continuous integration practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, build, and maintain robust UI and API automation frameworks leveraging Playwright.

Develop reliable, maintainable automated test suites integrated into CI/CD pipelines.

Collaborate closely with developers, QA, and product teams to identify test requirements and ensure comprehensive coverage.

Improve test reliability, execution speed, and framework scalability.

Investigate, debug, and resolve automation failures; contribute to root-cause analysis.

Establish best practices for automation architecture, code quality, and testing standards.

Required Qualifications:

3+ years of experience in software engineering or test automation roles.

Experience creating automation frameworks from scratch (UI and API).

Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, modern web technologies, and microservices.

Hands‑on experience with CI/CD systems (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.).

Familiarity with version control, test reporting, and defect tracking tools.

Strong problem‑solving skills, debugging abilities, and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).

Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Background in performance or reliability testing.

Contributions to open‑source automation tools or frameworks.
