About APPLIED Products Thermal Products Group (TPG) APPLIED Products Thermal Products Group is an established manufacturer’s representative and stocking distributor for the Upper Midwest Region including Western WI, Iowa, Nebraska, Minnesota, North and South Dakota, Kansas, Western Missouri, and Montana. Established in 1982, the primary categories of representation are Electric Heat Trace and Electric Heaters for the Industrial Process Industry and Commercial Building marketplace. It also has stocking distributor partnerships throughout the region for various products.
The Role Applied Products Thermal Products Group is looking for a motivated Technical Inside Sales Representative. This position will be responsible for proactive inside sales focused on maintaining and growing current accounts, collaborating with Territory Managers to gain new business while managing commercial and industrial project leads, generating quotes, supporting order entry & purchasing and facilitation of strategic marketing initiatives. Only candidates living in CST will be considered.
Key Responsibilities
Work with outside Territory Managers to identify and develop strategies which support new and/or existing sales opportunities.
Promote and sell products to current and potential customers by utilizing application and product knowledge while executing bill of materials quotes and creating sales proposals.
Assist with managing and processing customer purchase orders, responding to customer calls, collaborating with suppliers to track order fulfillment, and providing customer and technical support.
Prospect and qualify potential customers using APPLIED’s target qualifications via telephone, email and other social networks.
Identify key players, develop initial relationships, and generate interest with new prospects.
Meet and/or exceed mutually agreed upon sales goals and objectives.
Achieve target profit margins and new account goals as established by management.

Physical Requirements
Must be able to remain in a stationary position.

Experience and Qualifications
Must have an Associate or Bachelor degree.
Well organized, process and data driven, logical thought-process, able to make decisions and act on them.
Ability to communicate at all levels within an organization, build and manage relationships, and demonstrate resilience and ability to handle difficult situations with a positive "can do" attitude.
Proven experience & ability to work independently, and in a team environment.
Demonstrated excellence in verbal and written communication skills, including a strong phone presence, listening, and presentation skills with the ability to influence via phone and technology.
Strong computer skills with ability to learn new systems quickly and efficiently, proficient keyboard abilities, MS Office, Windows O/S, CRM Software, Web Chat and Social Media tools.
Desire to develop knowledge and practice of customer‑focused selling processes.
Experience in electrical or mechanical distribution preferred but not required.
Commercial and Industrial knowledge of electrical components is a plus.
