Medical Technologist I – General Lab Full Time Nights

Job Overview Under general supervision, perform quantitative and qualitative laboratory tests on patient specimens according to standard laboratory formulas and procedures. Analyze test results, calculate findings, maintain records, and prepare solutions, reagents, media, stains, and other materials for testing.
Responsibilities
Process and test all types of laboratory specimens.
Review and report laboratory results.
Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation and equipment.
Act as a resource to other laboratory personnel.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an approved college or university or graduate of an accredited school of medical technology, or equivalent military training as defined by 42 CFR 493.1489.
Preferred 6 months to 1 year experience as a medical laboratory technologist or clinical laboratory scientist in an acute care facility.
Registered or registry‑eligible within 12 months of hire by an approved certifying agency (ASCP, NCA, AMT, CSMLS) or equivalency evaluated within 30 days of hire (ECE, NACES, AICE). Licensure, as required by State.
Skills Required
Analytical ability to interpret and analyze test results.
Interpersonal skills to work effectively with all areas of the physician office.
Manual dexterity and visual acuity to operate various types of laboratory equipment and examine specimens.

Job Type: Full Time
Shift: Night (10:30 PM – 7:00 AM) with blood bank and rotating weekends/holidays.
