Network Analyst II – Kansas City National Security Campus
This position collaborates with senior network personnel to provide reliable, secure, and stable network infrastructure. Responsibilities include evaluating, designing, selecting, purchasing, installing, configuring, and maintaining network systems, hardware, and software. The role also leads small projects for network design, development, integration, and enhancement across LAN, WAN, WLAN, VoIP, and related communication systems.
Duties and Responsibilities
Configure, manage, and monitor daily network operations to maintain and increase network effectiveness.
Participate in incident management, asset management, change management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with cyber security to maintain system security measures and assist with computer security plans and documentation.
Maintain and operate complex firewall configurations and policies.
Proactively identify and resolve issues before they become critical.
Stay abreast of advances in network technologies and apply them for improvement.
Partner with Sr. Network Analyst to evaluate and recommend networking processes, tools, and software.
Lead the planning and execution of small infrastructure projects.
Coordinate with project delivery organization to ensure successful project completion.
Create and update network systems and cable plant documentation according to established processes and standards.
You Must Have
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Engineering or Physical Science, or equivalent work experience.
Minimum two years of networking administration experience.
United States citizenship.
Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE security clearance if required.
Ability to travel as determined by business needs.
Ability to work remote, hybrid, or on-site as directed.
Regular and reliable attendance is essential.

Experience with Palo Alto firewalls and policy configuration.
Prior experience with Juniper is a plus.
Experience with network management, troubleshooting, and monitoring tools.
Understanding of cyber security concepts.
Basic scripting knowledge for automating services and maintenance.
Basic knowledge of SDN concepts.
