Senior Controller
NOW CFO is searching for a Senior Controller to join our consulting team in Phoenix, AZ. The role requires technical accounting expertise and solid knowledge of GAAP, with a focus on risk mitigation and profit maximization.
We are a busy team of talented consultants delivering accounting solutions to clients in the Phoenix area, enabling partners to focus on business execution while we handle the numbers.
Responsibilities
Oversee full-cycle accounting operations, including A/R, A/P, GL, payroll, and financial reporting
Manage cost-related functions such as job costing, WIP, inventory accounting, and revenue recognition
Lead month‑end and year‑end close processes while maintaining standardized systems and controls
Ensure compliance with audits, federal/state regulations, and internal control frameworks
Develop budgets, metrics, and financial analyses to support strategic decision‑making
Lead, develop, and guide accounting staff while driving process improvements and organizational change
Qualifications
Degree in accounting or finance with strong GAAP proficiency
Proven leadership experience managing accounting teams or departments
Strong analytical thinking, problem‑solving, and financial insight abilities
High proficiency with Excel and ERP/accounting systems
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
