We are currently looking for a Senior Analyst, Application Development for our Houston, TX office. Responsibilities
Provide application software automated testing services and technical support for commercial applications in support of core organizational and business processes. Develop automated test scripts and update existing automated testing procedures for enhancements in existing applications. Analyze user requirements and acceptance criteria to develop testing strategies, plans, and scripts. Assist in ensuring that system enhancements are successfully implemented. Provide day-to-day support and participate in on-call support. Analyze new requirements to assist in developing estimates for proposed projects and system requirements. Collaborate with developers to explain code deficiencies or bugs. Apply communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to support the development process and ensure project deliverables meet specifications. Collaborate with vendors, business users, programmers, network administrators, systems analysts and database analysts to resolve problems with software products or systems. Develop and utilize standard templates for test plans, scripts and automated testing code. Collaborate with business users and developers to develop and implement test plans to ensure the system performs specified functions with high quality. Essential functions
– Establish and maintain regular communication with IT management, customers, and staff regarding IT activities and services; communicate critical events or issues to IT management; deploy, monitor, maintain, develop, upgrade and support IT services and systems; report project scope, priority, budget and status; participate in technical research or special projects as required; mentor less experienced team members; learn new technologies as needed; assist in developing business continuity plans. Required Skills, Knowledge, And Experience
2 years of professional coding experience in C#, Java, Javascript or Ruby UI test automation experience (e.g. Selenium, Protractor, Watir, Playwright) Experience in all phases of the software and testing lifecycle, from inception through deployment Strong functional testing background (test strategy, test planning, test case design, execution) Project experience using an Agile methodology (e.g. Scrum) Experience with test management tools (e.g. TestRail, Zephyr) SQL proficiency Understanding of RESTful web services and microservice architecture Experience with Cloud environments (AWS preferred) CI experience in Jenkins, CircleCI or similar toolset Experience as Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) or related QE roles Automation tester or automation framework developer Manual functional tester Performance test engineer Defect manager QE tools, reporting, and metrics specialist Mobile or web UX tester Test environment or test data coordinator/lead Preferred Skills, Knowledge, And Experience
Unit and integration testing Service / API testing (Rest Assured or other API automation framework) Performance / load testing (Jmeter, LoadRunner/NeoLoad or similar) DevOps / build engineering Application security testing Custom test tool development Project management, Scrum Master Business requirements analysis Working knowledge of FERC and NAESB Standards Required Education
