Base pay range
$90,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr
Responsibilities
Lead and oversee the customs brokerage department including the team of entry writers, ensuring that operational goals and KPIs are met.
Manage the entire import clearance workflow: from customs entries and ISF filings to broker relationships, audits, billing, and client communications.
Ensure compliance with all applicable U.S. customs regulations, partner government agencies, trade policies, and company SOPs.
Review and improve department processes: work distribution, quality control, performance measurement and continuous improvement.
Train, coach, and evaluate team members, manage staffing, workflow capacity, and performance metrics.
Act as escalation point for complex or high-risk shipments, broker disputes, compliance issues, and audit findings.
Partner with Sales, Operations, Finance, and Legal teams to support new account onboarding, client growth, and service delivery.
Maintain and enhance customs clearance systems, reporting tools, data analytics, and entry tracking.
Provide regular management reports on department performance, cost control, and compliance status.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Trade, Logistics, or a related field is preferred.
Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in customs brokerage or international trade operations, including at least 2-3 years in a management or supervisory capacity.
Strong expertise in U.S. customs laws and regulations (19 CFR, HTS classifications, PGAs, duty/valuation, etc.).
Demonstrated leadership and team‑management skills, ability to build and develop high‑performing teams.
Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and data‑driven decision making skills.
Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
Experience with customs/brokerage systems preferred.
Bilingual in Korean and English is required.
