Roles and Responsibilities
Provide D365 ERP architectural leadership, emphasizing a unified technical architecture.
Deliver technical thought leadership, design conceptualization, and technical documentation for the overall D365 ERP architecture.
Analyze problems/needs, research viable solutions, and implement, test, and present solutions; recommend customizations if necessary.
Manage and lead design, configuration, security, and delivery of D365 ERP development components (reports, interfaces, conversions, custom solutions).
Collaborate with functional teams on testing, environment syncs, and project release for go‑live deployment.
Coordinate organization’s use of master files, roles, user views, data control, reporting, and data integrity.
Manage ERP integrations with other business systems and third‑party applications.
Oversee custom development, enhancements, upgrades, and ongoing maintenance projects.
Monitor and test D365 ERP system performance, providing performance statistics.
Review automation opportunities leveraging ERP and Power Platform.
Plan and execute ERP‑related projects, including migrations, upgrades, and new module implementations.
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
Lead and mentor ERP technical staff, including developers and technical services team members.
Promote a culture of teamwork, empowerment, professional development, and continuous improvement.
Partner with stakeholders to translate business goals and technical direction into D365 ERP architectural solutions.
Work with Enterprise Architects, IT operations, BA teams, Security, and business stakeholders to ensure availability, reliability, and scalability of D365 ERP.
Develop and manage relationships with key vendor partner projects and resources.
Maintain best‑in‑class D365 ERP architecture by staying abreast of new opportunities, methodologies, and best practices.
Promote prioritization, workload management, cross‑training, and code reviews as part of team standards.
Perform other duties as assigned to support the company and its operational needs.
Minimum Education & Work Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
4+ years of experience in D365 ERP architecture and design.
Experience managing people, prioritizing work, and defining development standards (code comments, documentation, code reviews) is a plus.
Minimum of four years of extensive experience in development within the D365 ERP Finance and Operations environment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Innovative initiative‑taker with strong collaboration skills across cross‑functional teams.
Technical expertise in solution design, development, application support, and ERP architecture, combined with strong business acumen.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, able to convey complex technical concepts clearly.
Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to lead cross‑team collaboration and build partnerships.
Domain expertise in Finance, Supply Chain, and Logistics to lead cross‑functional design ownership and drive change management initiatives.
Success in all phases of the project life cycle with effective project management and delivery results.
Deep understanding of enterprise business system principles, implementation, analysis, design, build, test, and deployment.
Proven ability to manage vendor and consultant relationships to achieve strategic objectives.
Advanced knowledge of X++ development, extensibility, and design authority.
Experience with DevOps tools such as Azure DevOps, LCS, UDE, build orchestration, telemetry dashboards, and automated regression testing.
Strong background in designing and managing integrations (event‑driven architecture, API governance, bulk operations, zero‑downtime releases).
Expertise in data and analytics platforms (Synapse Link, Fabric, ADLS2, Purview) and ERP‑to‑Fabric strategy development.
Experience leveraging Power Platform and Copilot Agents to design guardrails, automation roadmaps, and business value tracking.
Proven ability to lead ERP security programs, develop incident response playbooks, and implement secure solutions.
Success in quality engineering: QA strategy development, test data management, performance and load testing, release criteria, and quality gates.
Experience in agile and DevOps‑based SDLC methodologies is a plus.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced, decision‑oriented environment.
