The
Console Team
within Oracle Cloud Infrastructure is seeking an experienced Principal Frontend AI Software Development Engineer to help build the next‑gen AI first Console experience. In this role you will design and implement agentic systems, evaluate models, and bring your experience with MCP, A2A and Prompt engineering. You will also work on the front‑end user experience in support of enabling this new offering for our Cloud customers. The ideal candidate can design agentic systems with considerations for observability, security and extensibility. Strong technical skills and innovation are essential along with a strong, proactive ethic.
Key Responsibilities
The Principal Frontend AI Software Development Engineer will be responsible for building and optimizing large-scale AI systems, ensuring scalability, reliability and performance.
The candidate should be able to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams and have a passion for building cutting‑edge AI applications. Strong problem solving skills, attention to detail and excellent communication skills are essential for this role.
Location: U.S. onsite in Nashville, TN (priority) or Austin, TX (secondary). Relocation assistance provided. (Not a remote position)
Qualifications
BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or equivalent experience.
8‑10+ years of experience in software development, design, implementation and operation of distributed services.
Strong product development experience in Python, Java, C#, or comparable languages.
Experience in microservices development.
Familiarity with Agentic/MCP frameworks (FastMCP or similar, LangChain, LangGraph or similar).
Familiarity with MCP (Model Context Protocol), A2A (Agent‑to‑Agent protocol) and prompt engineering.
Familiarity with front‑end UX for AI assistants (chat UIs, dashboards).
Must have experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI) and cloud‑related technologies.
Ability to design agentic systems with elicitation, observability, safety, guardrails, policy definition and enforcement and extensibility.

Salary and Benefits US: Hiring range in USD from $96,800 - $223,400 per year. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
