Senior AI/Machine Learning Engineer
Our client, Raas Infotek LLC, is seeking a highly experienced AI/Machine Learning Engineer to lead the design, development, and deployment of AI-powered applications. This is a 6‑month contract (potential to extend) with on‑site work in Atlanta, GA.
Key Project Focus: Azure Open AI (GPT models), Azure Functions, Cosmos DB, Web Apps, cloud architecture, full‑stack development, and cutting‑edge AI technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Architect and implement scalable AI/ML solutions using Microsoft Azure services.
Lead the integration of GPT models and other LLMs into web applications and APIs.
Oversee rapid prototyping and deployment of AI‑powered tools for internal and client‑facing applications.
Collaborate with data scientists, developers, and stakeholders to define technical requirements and deliver robust solutions.
Write high‑quality, maintainable code in Python and JavaScript.
Ensure best practices in software engineering, including CI/CD, testing, and documentation.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing across the team.
Stay current with advancements in AI/ML and cloud technologies to guide strategic technical decisions.
Required Qualifications
10+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 7 years in AI/ML development.
Proven experience working with GPT models or other LLMs in production environments.
Strong proficiency in Python and JavaScript, with experience building web‑based applications and APIs.
Deep understanding of machine learning, natural language processing, and neural networks.
Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure, including Azure Open AI, Azure Functions, and Cosmos DB.
Solid knowledge of RESTful APIs, cloud‑native architectures, and DevOps practices.
Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and leadership skills.
Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Ability to work on‑site in Atlanta, GA as required by the client.
Preferred Skills
Experience with front‑end frameworks such as React, HTML, and CSS.
Familiarity with data pipelines, ML Ops, and model deployment in cloud environments.
Prior experience working with government or public health agencies (e.g., CDC).
Existing CDC network profile and access to company‑issued workstation equipment is a plus.
