What You’ll Do
Preparation of design plans, specifications, and reports for a variety of water/wastewater and stormwater projects, which may include transmission, distribution, collection, treatment, storage, utility master planning, permitting, and various engineering tasks.
Hydraulic modeling, including stormwater pre/post and advanced treatment and storage design, along with water and sewer pumping systems and hydraulic water distribution modeling.
Interact successfully with various public and private clients and other jurisdictional agencies.
Perform assignments that require application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to carry out engineering tasks, designed to develop judgment and understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities.
Review design plans and compare them to accepted municipal standards and details.
Prepare engineering‑related calculations, develop drawings, and create visual aids.
Work on a wide range of projects and tasks, assist with field research, data collection, data analysis, graphics, maps, data presentation, and report development.
Manage time and workload to stay on schedule and within budget.
Travel as needed for site investigations, construction observation, and project transmittals.
What You’ll Need
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
E.I. Certificate preferred or eligible and scheduled for FE exam.
Detail‑oriented with strong technical and organizational skills.
Proficiency in spreadsheets, word processing, and standard office software.
Works well in multidisciplinary team environments and can meet deadlines.
Strong oral presentation and written communication skills.
Experience with WaterCAD, ICPR, and other modeling software preferred.
Valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record.
