In This Role, You Will

Act as the point of contact for our third‑party LOA administrator to support leave of absence administration and ADAAA requests, handling all leave types including workers’ compensation.

Validate the accuracy of leave pay vouchers provided by the third‑party Leave Administrator for employees on leave with multiple pay‑schedule frequencies.

Provide technical guidance and advice to managers and People Business Partners regarding Workers Compensation issues; assist the return‑to‑work third‑party administrator; serve as liaison between injured employees and administrators for returning employees.

Resolve escalated workers‑compensation claims and facilitate a smooth return‑to‑work process for injured employees.

Develop workers’‑compensation policies, procedures, and return‑to‑work programs throughout the claims process from initiation to closure.

Maintain solid understanding and experience with workers’‑compensation regulations in operating states (CA, MT, PA, TX, WA, CO, MI).

Facilitate annual workers’‑compensation claims review.

Act as the initial point of contact for benefit‑related questions through our Help Desk (policy and process explanation).

Deliver high‑level customer service to employees, colleagues and external partners by providing timely and accurate responses to requests and inquiries.

Required Qualifications

Provide benefits guidance to employees on a variety of benefits topics including policy interpretation.

Maintain compliance with federal, state and local employment laws.

Confidently navigate and manage a high volume of incoming requests.

Effectively prioritize tickets ensuring requests are addressed in a timely manner.

Desirable Qualifications

Minimum 3–5 years in Human Resources with at least 3 years focusing on employee benefits.

Knowledge of the employee benefits, leave management function and related HR areas.

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.

Knowledge of employee benefits programs and governing laws/regulations (medical, dental, vision, life, short/long‑term disability, COBRA, ERISA, FSA, retiree benefits).

Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interpreting policies and contracts to managers and employees.

Experience managing relationships with third‑party vendors (leave of absence, workers’ compensation).

Experience with Help Desk/Ticketing systems, preferably Workday Help.

Strong people skills and ability to connect with people at all levels.

Ability to work independently and cross‑functionally with all organization levels.

Ability to interact with highly confidential data with sensitivity and confidentiality.

Able to accurately prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.

Ability to adapt to a continuously changing environment and recalibrate work accordingly.

Advanced proficiency in G‑suite (Sheets, Docs, Slides) with familiarity with Microsoft Suite.

The base salary range for this position is $98,000 - $156,500 per year. Aurora’s pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location, and may be modified in the future. The successful candidate will also be eligible for an annual bonus, equity compensation, and benefits.
