Associate Director of Events & Engagement
Join Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy as the Associate Director of Events & Engagement. This 12‑month, full‑time exempt position reports to the Director of Community Engagement and focuses on strengthening community engagement through a year‑round calendar of strategic, high‑impact events that support CHCA’s Advancement goals.
Responsibilities
Plan and lead logistics for all major Admissions events.
Provide warm, welcoming, and informative experiences for prospective and new families; collaborate with the Director of Engagement to deliver a First Year calendar of events.
Lead planning and coordination of engagement and development events including Celebration Gala, Homecoming Festival, Grandparents’ Day, School Supply Sales, School‑wide Worship events, Mother‑Son, Father‑Daughter events and other key Advancement receptions.
Activate the volunteer engagement program for events throughout the year and ensure meaningful appreciation and recognition.
Partner with Parent‑Teacher Fellowship and other stakeholders on engagement priorities.
Provide strategic vision and innovation to design experiences that enable and support Advancement goals.
Plan, coordinate, and execute a year‑round calendar of school events such as parent and family events, annual fundraising gala/banquet, alumni gatherings, student and community celebrations, donor stewardship events, staff appreciation events.
Manage event logistics: venue setup, décor, catering, AV, volunteer coordination, vendor relationships.
Develop event budgets, monitor expenses, and ensure responsible stewardship of resources.
Create event timelines, run‑of‑show documents, and communication plans.
Ensure each event reflects the school’s Christian identity, hospitality standards, and mission.
Recruit, train, and support volunteers; create a positive experience for volunteers while maintaining clear expectations.
Partner with program leaders to deliver a strong stakeholder experience at events.
Manage event timelines and facilitate communication with key partners.
Qualifications
Community‑driven and mission oriented.
Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience in communications, event planning, or related fields.
Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail.
2‑3 years of experience in event planning, community engagement, advancement, or related roles.
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends for key events.
Model a heart for service.
Warm, relationship‑builder with a passion for building community.
