Operations is not a supporting function here. At 2 Hour Learning, Operations defines the product. Our AI‑native K‑12 school network across the country depends entirely on the strength of our campus systems. The Operations team doesn‘t simply enable growth—they are the architects of it. Every team member specializes in one of five essential domains, mastering it rapidly through hands‑on deployment and AI‑enhanced learning.
Core Operations Domains
Authorization & Permitting – Navigate multi‑state legal frameworks and accelerate local permitting processes to open new regions.
Physical Build‑Out & Maintenance – Manage campus construction, facility improvements, and vendor accountability to ensure and maintain superior infrastructure.
IT Operational Setup – Deploy complete system configurations—hardware, software, technical support, compliance protocols—for every new campus launch.
Financial Operations – Construct budgets, produce real‑time insight dashboards, and uphold audit‑compliant financial governance across all schools and business units.
PMO – Drive execution of strategic technology and marketing projects through vendor performance tracking, analytics dashboards, and initiative reporting.
You will deploy dashboards that eliminate financial opacity. Engineer onboarding frameworks that cut student setup failures in half. Obtain state‑level regulatory clearance. Launch campuses at unprecedented speed. Or build AI‑driven operational workflows that eliminate conventional management overhead. This is high‑impact, rapid‑cycle execution—reserved for builders, not observers.
If you’re an operator who identifies friction points and begins constructing solutions—rather than convening discussions—this environment will suit you. The systems you create will enable the launch of 25–30 new schools over the coming year. Your contributions will establish operational standards for hundreds of employees and thousands of learners. Your results will be undeniable.
What You Will Be Doing
Taking full ownership of one of five foundational operations domains: Authorization, Build‑Out, Platforms, Finance, or PMO.
Addressing novel challenges in your domain through AI integration, process automation, and iterative problem‑solving.
Producing precise specifications, analytical dashboards, or operational documentation that functions across multiple school sites.
Engaging directly with operational realities: facility contractors, regulatory bodies, technology platforms, and campus personnel.
Conducting campus visits as required to deploy or validate your operational solutions.
What You Won’t Be Doing
Waiting for product or engineering teams to develop your operational tools—you will create prototypes and automations independently.
Prompting AI to "generate a standard operating procedure" and considering the task complete—you will engineer functional solutions hands‑on.
Remaining confined to headquarters—anticipate regular travel and on‑location execution.
Delegating execution of your strategic plans to others—you will own both design and implementation completely.
Basic Requirements
Located in North America with capacity to travel 25‑75% depending on operational needs.
5+ years of experience in high‑velocity, high‑autonomy operational environments.
Demonstrated analytical capability and written communication proficiency.
Action‑oriented mindset, collaborative temperament, complete accountability.
Background in at least one of: regulatory compliance, facility development, SaaS implementation, FP&A, or technology vendor oversight.
Applies AI as reflexively as others use spreadsheets: naturally, regularly, and across diverse applications.
Has developed automations, structured operational workflows, and explored hands‑on coding for practical or personal projects.
Proven ability to rapidly acquire expertise in unfamiliar domains (legal, financial, compliance, technical systems, etc.).
