Summary The Supply Chain Senior Business Systems Analyst will serve as a business function and system expert for module(s) or sub‑module(s) of the new ERP system (Workday). The successful candidate will collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and document requirements for business processes, including highly complex processes. The analyst will use these requirements to identify appropriate technical solutions and any associated business process enhancements for the future state system. Responsibilities also include supporting testing, training activities, and project management for moderately sized sub‑projects. Additionally, the analyst will mentor junior Business Systems Analysts.

The role will handle end‑to‑end supplier master implementation in the cloud ERP platform, addressing people, process, and technology design, driving supplier conversion from legacy ERP to cloud ERP, supporting data cleansing and enrichment, and developing quality assurance measures and SOPs for supplier onboarding, evaluation, and fraud prevention. The analyst will collaborate with health system and university stakeholders and provide guidance to junior analysts for cross‑functional workstreams.

The analyst reports to the JHHS Sightline Supply Chain Program Director and will develop the organization’s Workday supply‑chain analytics foundation, including sourcing/contract, procurement, inventory, and supplier accounts. Collaboration with Workday colleagues in HR, Finance, and IT for advanced analytics solutions is expected. Experience with business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Power BI, automated workflows (Alteryx, Python, R, Excel) and data warehousing is encouraged.

Job Responsibilities

Gather, organize, and document business, user, and functional requirements for complex business processes, including stakeholder interviews and synthesis.

Prioritize requirements based on key metrics, ensuring alignment with identified metrics.

Translate business requirements into functional design specifications, redefining processes for efficiency and alignment with technical solutions.

Create and document test scenarios for complex functions; conduct testing and review results.

Write detailed business process and technical specification documentation for stakeholders.

Assist in authoring and maintaining end‑user training materials; lead training for complex processes.

Collaborate with PMO to develop project plans, monitor scope and milestones for moderately sized projects.

Guide and supervise Business Systems Analysts in analysis, solution identification, and documentation.

Stand in for Lead Analyst, attend meetings, provide updates, identify and alleviate risks.

Minimum Requirements

Eight years of progressively responsible experience in finance, HR, payroll, supply chain, sponsored projects, or systems analysis.

Four years of experience as an ERP (Workday) system user with scoping, requirements gathering, documentation, testing, training, and support.

Experience with interpersonal and technical skills, diagnosing problems and implementing solutions.

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, HR, finance, supply chain, information systems, computer science, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with supplier onboarding or vendor master data management, Procure‑to‑Pay functions, B2B fraud prevention.

Experience within a healthcare or university supply chain, converting suppliers between ERPs, working with large‑scale ERP platforms (Oracle, SAP ECC, Workday), third‑party industry data providers.

Experience communicating with broad stakeholder groups; proficiency with Excel, SQL, Python preferred.

Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

Excellent communication skills, including listening, writing, presenting, facilitating meetings.

Ability to create effective business analysis and project management artifacts.

Ability to understand, analyze, and document dependencies and impacts.

Ability to work with loosely defined requirements and schedules.

Advanced proficiency with Microsoft applications, especially Excel, Visio, PowerPoint.

Ability to function in a structured project management environment.

Ability to plan and execute moderately sized projects within larger projects.

Ability to mentor and guide newer analysts.

Salary Range $48.29 – $77.27 per hour. Compensation commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
