Lead Data Engineer – Wealth Management Platform
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Data Engineer to architect, develop, and lead the delivery of enterprise‑grade data integration and analytics solutions. This role requires deep expertise in Oracle performance tuning, strong leadership capabilities, and excellent communication skills. You will play a pivotal role in technical decision‑making, mentoring team members, and collaborating with DBAs and business stakeholders to deliver high‑performance, scalable data solutions that support our wealth management platform.
This position follows our hybrid work model; we expect the selected candidate to be in the office 8‑10 days per month at the St. Petersburg, FL Corporate Office location.

Key Responsibilities
Optimize database and query performance to meet strict SLAs (e.g., analyze execution plans and recommend strategies for indexing, partitioning, and query optimization).
Collaborate with DBAs to validate and implement performance tuning recommendations.
Oversee and enhance ETL/ELT workflows using Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), ensuring scalability, efficiency, and data quality.
Leverage AWS services (S3, Redshift, Glue, Lambda, DMS) for cloud‑based data ingestion, transformation, and storage.
Lead and mentor a team of data engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
Translate complex technical decisions into clear, actionable insights for both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Ensure data solutions align with business goals, compliance standards, and industry best practices.
Required Qualifications
7+ years of experience in data engineering within enterprise‑scale environments.
Proven expertise in Oracle performance tuning, including query optimization, execution plans, indexing, partitioning, and parallelism.
Strong proficiency in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries.
Hands‑on experience with Oracle Data Integrator (ODI).
Solid understanding of data warehouse design, ETL/ELT processes, and data modeling.
Experience with AWS data services (S3, Redshift, Glue, Lambda, DMS).
Demonstrated leadership experience, including mentoring and guiding technical teams.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in Wealth Management or Financial Services.
Advanced expertise in Oracle Data Integrator (ODI).
Familiarity with data governance, compliance, and security standards in financial environments.
