Accounts Receivable and Collection Specialist
Join Harvard Bioscience as an Accounts Receivable and Collections Specialist. This role is vital to the Order to Cash process, ensuring accurate, timely billing, processing customer payments, and resolving any impediments to cash collections. Responsibilities
Customer/vendor maintenance: support new and existing customers with vendor onboarding, complete onboarding surveys, and ensure HBIO documentation is updated. Billing: generate and distribute accurate invoices and statements, upload invoices to commercial payment portals, monitor portals, and resolve rejections. Collections: monitor invoices in procurement portals for payment dates, perform early‑stage collections outreach via phone and email, and resolve exceptions. Cash application support: trained in cash applications to post cash timely, deposit checks, and convert payers to ACH. Communication: respond to customer inquiries respectfully and efficiently, escalating when needed; build an internal network with colleagues to resolve issues. Qualifications
Education: high school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred. Experience: 2–3 years in accounts receivable, collections, or a similar financial role; experience with customer payment portals (e.g., WAWF) preferred. Technical skills: ERP system experience (JD Edwards a plus); intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; GAAP understanding. Soft skills: team player, integrity, strong written and verbal communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills; attention to detail; ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines; customer‑service orientation; discretion with confidential information. Compensation
Salary: $23.00 – $28.00 per hour. Employment
