Independently performs skilled preventive maintenance work in operating, maintaining, repairing, and overhauling a variety of air conditioning, refrigeration and ventilation systems and equipment and performs other related duties as assigned.
To qualify, applicants must meet all of the following requirements:
Legal Authorization to Work Requirement The State of Hawaii requires all persons seeking employment with the government of the State to be citizens, nationals, or permanent resident aliens of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the United States.
Experience FOUR (4) YEARS of progressively responsible experience in the maintenance and overhaul of air conditioning and/or refrigeration equipment as a helper or apprentice under a journey level air conditioning and/or refrigeration mechanic.
Substitutions Allowed Relevant substitutions as described in the Minimum Qualification Requirements will apply.
Certification Required In accordance with Section 608 of the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Clean Air Act, 1990, as amended, certification as a Universal Technician is required. If a copy of your certificate is not submitted at the time of application, your application will be rejected.
Driver's License Applicants must possess a valid driver's license at the time of appointment.
