Founded in 2020 and headquartered in Englewood, Colorado with additional facilities in Knoxville, Tennessee, Loveland, Ohio, and Mount Vernon, Ohio, this role can be located at our Englewood, Colorado or Loveland, Ohio facility.
Responsibilities
Execute the design, analysis, evaluation, and assembly of the high‑pressure turbine in an aviation gas turbine engine using sound engineering principles while meeting industry standards and program requirements.
Utilize high‑pressure turbine design tools and analysis to assure the module meets specifications.
Lead engine system or component test programs from a hardware design perspective, setting test objectives, instrumentation, and data requirements.
Serve as component‑design subject‑matter expert, ensuring design meets overall requirements and balancing durability with trade‑offs.
Coordinate design reviews with performance, controls, stress, life, additive manufacturing, materials, and system analysis teams.
Maintain timely communication on significant issues or developments.
Participate in R&D of additive design technologies, advising on improvements.
Initially an individual contributor, later responsible for scaling design capability and potentially future team leadership.
Secure technical documentation consistent with engineering best practices.
Collaborate with suppliers to procure hardware and resolve producibility and quality issues.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college.
12+ years of experience in gas turbine component design.
U.S. citizenship required for security clearance.
Proficiency in CAD, ANSYS, CFD, and other design software.
Experience with high‑pressure turbines for aviation applications from mechanical and aero design perspectives.
Experience with additive manufacturing technologies and design for additive manufacturing principles.
Familiarity with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
Passion for additive technology and willingness to challenge current design limitations.
Strong oral and written communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Demonstrated problem‑solving ability, program leadership, and execution skills.
Self‑starter and quick learner who can thrive in fast‑paced cross‑functional teams.
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued security clearance.
Benefits & Compensation In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this position is $155,000–185,000 base salary. The company offers a comprehensive benefits package including group medical, dental, life, short‑ and long‑term disability coverage, a 401(k) retirement savings plan with company match, bonus eligibility, and equity.
