About the Role As a Director in the Healthcare Industry Group, you will work closely with a variety of healthcare clients—including health systems, physician groups, ancillary providers, medical schools, managed care and health plans, and life sciences—on complex assignments that require critical technology considerations.
Responsibilities
Identify and implement opportunities to significantly reduce cost structure by redesigning technology and operations org structures and eliminating non‑value‑added processes.
Optimize the overall technology stack to drive top‑line and bottom‑line improvement, and advise on specific client technology investments.
Develop IT synergy models, one‑time cost profiles, TSAs, and carve‑out considerations pre‑deal and execute integration, TSA exits, and value creation post‑deal.
Provide guidance to manage a client through crisis and/or rapid improvement plans.
Develop operational data analyses to create KPI metrics, conduct client interviews, and present findings.
Summarize, draw conclusions and create recommendations from large data sets.
Lead various work streams, manage day‑to‑day engagement priorities, prepare client‑ready deliverables and presentations.
Coach and mentor junior staff and build client relationships to grow the business.
Support marketing initiatives with pitch preparation and creation of marketing materials.
Help build product and service offering tools and templates.
Qualifications
High energy individuals with a passion for healthcare and solving complex issues.
12+ years of experience in healthcare, consulting or related industries with a healthcare IT focus.
Experience in acquisition, integration and transformation from an IT deal perspective.
Deep experience in one or more industry‑leading clinical application domains (e.g., EMR/EHR, Practice Management).
Experience in Med‑tech manufacturing applications (e.g., MES, QMS, Inventory Management Systems).
Experience in one or more industry‑leading corporate functional domains (HRIS, ERP/Finance, Cloud Stack).
Advanced analytics and reporting skills, with deep proficiency in Excel and financial modeling.
Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint, Visio, Tableau or Power BI, SQL, SPSS, benchmarking skills are a plus.
Solid project management and organizational skills.
Working knowledge of healthcare finance, operations, valuation and relevant laws and regulations.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for all client levels.
Willingness and ability to travel as required.
BA/BS degree and/or MBA/MS in Accounting, Finance, or related healthcare fields (MHA or MPH).
