Job Summary Position responsible for providing leadership, direction and support for Interventional Radiology (Body, Neuro and special procedures), ensuring the delivery of quality care to patients; and for planning, implementing, reviewing and controlling the budget, staffing, and robust process improvement.

Job Description Memorial Hermann Medical Center is actively seeking a skilled and enthusiastic RN to support the Interventional Radiology Department as a Director. This position will oversee the IR department including Body IR, Neuro IR and Neuro Spine, and will have two direct reports — 1 RN Manager and 1 Tech Manager.

Full‑time, Day Shift, Monday‑Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (hours may vary)

Must have BSN; MSN highly preferred

Must have 5 or more years of RN procedure experience (IR, Cath Lab, OR, ENDO or other procedural experience)

Must have 3 or more years of direct RN leadership experience

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelors of Nursing degree from an accredited school of professional nursing required; Master’s Degree preferred.

Licenses/Certifications: Current State of Texas license or temporary/compact license to practice professional nursing; professional certification in a clinical area or management within one year of hire preferred.

Experience / Knowledge / Skills: Five (5) years of progressive clinical experience.

Principal Accountabilities

Direct day‑to‑day operations for assigned patient care departments, maintaining 24/7 operational responsibility and directing clinical and non‑clinical staff.

Review and approve new hires, establish performance standards, provide training, recognize staff achievements, and provide feedback.

Work with service line leaders and managers to establish departmental scope, goals, and strategic plans; stay current on new developments and incorporate them.

Monitor and direct all patient care activities.

Consider diverse patient needs throughout the continuum of care and ensure the highest level of service.

Evaluate programs for process improvement and client‑centered outcomes.

Ensure revenue, expenses, and contribution margin meet or exceed budget; prepare and submit budget reports; take corrective action for negative variances.

Promote physician input and communication; include medical staff in planning policies and procedures; respond to medical staff concerns.

Adhere to all regulatory and Texas Board of Nursing requirements and standards.

Ensure safe care for patients, staff, and visitors within budgetary specifications.

Promote professional growth by supporting continuing education and skills competency; serve as preceptor, mentor, and resource to less experienced staff.
