Overview
ENERCON’s Power Delivery Team seeks a Transmission Line Engineering Manager for Texas, requiring ERCOT experience, existing Texas electric utility relationships, and ideally 765 kV expertise. The role can be located in any of the following offices:
Spring, TX; Dallas, TX; Fort Worth, TX; Kennesaw, GA (Suburb of Atlanta); Nashville, TN; Orlando, FL; Palm Beach Gardens, FL; Tampa, FL; Charlotte, NC; Kennewick, WA; Portland, OR; Emeryville, CA; San Luis Obispo, CA; Glendale, AZ; or remote for senior candidates.
Responsibilities
Lead engineering teams in the design, analysis, and optimization of transmission lines; mentor junior staff.
Manage all phases of transmission line projects, from conceptual design through construction and as‑built support, including budgets and schedules.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate projects into overall infrastructure plans and provide technical guidance.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering from an ABET‑accredited university.
Minimum 6 years of transmission line engineering experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role; senior role available based on experience.
Active Professional Engineer (PE) license, ideally with NCEES reciprocity.
ERCOT experience required.
Proficiency with PLS‑CADD and MFAD.
Experience with NESC, ASCE, IEEE and other relevant standards.
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
Willingness to travel for client site visits and project meetings.
Pay Range USD $117,000.00 – USD $179,300.00 per year.
