As a student-focused and driven position, the College Access & Success Coordinator is responsible for supporting first‑generation and students from low‑income backgrounds attending Wentworth. This coordinator will collaborate with staff to develop, maintain, and execute a robust and thoughtful student support system for Boston youth involved in Wentworth’s College Access and Success programming through the Center for Community & Culture (CCC).

Reporting Reporting to the Director of College Access and Success within the Division of Inclusive Excellence, the coordinator will assist in documenting, evaluating, and assessing success programming, partnerships, and participants. The role works in tandem with an Assistant Director of Student Success and an existing College Access & Success Coordinator to be the Institute's face for all Boston and Greater Boston youth. This position is grant‑funded.

Essential Functions Student Support (60%)

– Develop, execute, and maintain a comprehensive and holistic student support system for Boston High Schools’ youth participating in the CLP’s Boston Pipeline Initiative, including Dual Enrollment and Beacon Pathways. The coordinator will provide outreach and support for Dual Enrollment and Beacon Pathways students, collaborate across departments to increase student access to on‑campus and off‑campus resources, and ensure students are better prepared to address possible barriers.

Supporting Program Development and Execution (20%)

– In collaboration with CCC’s College Access & Success Team, support the execution of Wentworth’s Success programming for interested Greater Boston residents attending Wentworth as undergraduate students. Focus on supporting Boston Pipeline programming such as RAMP and the Industry Mentor Program.

Documentation (10%)

– Assist with documentation, evaluation, and assessment of success programming, partnerships, and participants. Track student touch points, access to resources, success and challenges, and maintain detailed qualitative and quantitative practices to aid grant reporting and community impact.

Collaboration (10%)

– Collaborate and communicate with internal partners (Admissions, Success Studio, Student Affairs, etc.) to give students the best opportunity to succeed in higher education, and develop a deep understanding of the institute’s resources available to all students.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree.

1–3 years’ experience in education, youth services, or community‑based organizations (part‑time work and internships count).

Demonstrated commitment to inclusive excellence.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with and supporting high school and/or college students from urban and culturally diverse environments.

Crisis management/support experience.

Experience developing and delivering programming.

Experience collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

The job grade is Grade 5. The expected wage range is between $58,000 and $70,000, which reflects what we reasonably expect to pay for this role.

This position is contingent on the availability of external funding and is subject to annual performance reviews and funding renewals. The incumbent may be separated from employment with notice if funding is reduced or discontinued.
