Auburn Symphony Orchestra is seeking an Individual Giving Director to lead fundraising initiatives for the orchestra. The position reports to the Executive Director and is an integral part of the organization’s success.

The role is a full‑time, salaried position ($62,000–$64,000 annually) with a flexible schedule and the possibility to work partially from home. Weekend and evening work is required, including concert and event attendance.

Responsibilities Annual Fund

Cultivate, solicit, and steward ASO’s individual donors at all levels of giving to secure annual support.

Connect with the greater Auburn community through networking opportunities to broaden awareness of ASO and grow the donor pool.

Collaborate with the Executive Director to prepare solicitation and stewardship materials for campaigns throughout the season (end of calendar year, GiveBIG, end of fiscal year).

Create fundraising communications, both digital and printed.

Gala and Fundraising Event Management

Curate and coordinate mission‑driven fundraising events.

Manage invite lists, RSVPs, and table assignments.

Assist in coordinating online and in‑person silent auctions, including item information, bid sheets, auction website through Auctria software, etc.

Manage fundraising events, including check‑in, bidding recording, and check‑out.

Desired Attributes The Individual Giving Director will have a positive, professional attitude, impeccable customer‑service skills, and demonstrated fundraising experience. The individual will be able to work effectively and efficiently in a fast‑paced environment. Knowledge of orchestral music is preferred but not required.

Desired Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or suitable experience working in a nonprofit organization.

2–3 years fundraising experience, preferably in the arts.

Expert knowledge of Google Drive, Microsoft Office, or similar programs.

Reliable internet access during remote working hours.

Professional written and verbal communication skills.

Experience with databases similar to ArtsPeople, Auctria, Patron Manager, etc.
