NPM is committed to excellence in audience research, measurement tools, product design, and creative consultation and production for each of its brand and station partners.
The Digital Campaign Associate role is key to a successful sponsor’s experience once an order has been greenlit. The Advertising Operations department, where this role sits, works directly with NPR’s sales, marketing, finance, legal, and design teams to bring to life digital advertising campaigns that generate results for sponsors. The role actively collaborates with sales, production, and site development to ensure accurate trafficking, implementation, and delivery of campaigns for NPR’s Sponsors. Be an expert on and communicate details about product specs, required assets, and data capabilities to support a positive client campaign experience post‑sale
Manage banner, podcast, and tag asset deadlines to ensure an on‑time campaign launch
Provide expertise on a number of different tracking vendors, measuring performance, ad quality, attention, and brand lift
Verify that assets comply with NPR’s Digital Guidelines and submit voice talent and host read scripts for podcast placements
Secure custom NPR‑created asset approvals from clients/agencies ahead of launch
Reserve inventory and set up sponsorship campaigns in the ad servers
Facilitate several time‑sensitive “quick start” campaigns each quarter (launching within 48 hours after receiving buy confirmation and creative assets)
Campaign Maintenance During the Flight:
Support clients with their reporting and measurement needs
Provide deliverables to sponsors at intervals throughout the campaign (launch confirmation, screenshots, air checks, monthly highlights, daily/weekly data delivery reports, etc.)
Execute creative or tag refreshes
Provide support on time‑sensitive requests from sponsors (delivery reporting, creative/copy changes, technical product questions, etc.)
Reconcile monthly billing in our order management system to ensure clients receive accurate and timely invoices
Proactively monitor campaign pacing every week using NPR’s data management tool
Strategize and troubleshoot any campaign under delivery with stakeholders on the sales and planning teams
Provide recommendations/optimizations to address under delivery and guarantee the campaign delivers in full—often requiring urgency due to upcoming campaign end dates
Post‑Launch Wrap‑Up:
Provide final campaign delivery reports and billing confirmation
Build client relationships and facilitate renewal conversations by helping the sponsor evaluate attribution performance and other sponsor KPIs against NPR benchmarks
