Chicago (Hybrid) Role Overview
As a Social Copywriter, you are part of an agile social team that constantly seeks inspiration from the world, culture, and the internet to uncover opportunities for breakthrough social content. You are the brand’s voice online, shaping personalities every day with words and ideas you create for social. You have a deep understanding of the audience and each brand’s passion points, enabling you to identify content opportunities. You craft clever responses, humorous posts, and meaningful brand actions that bring the brand to life. Daily, you interface with the community, earning attention and sparking conversations. You collaborate with a content creator and social media manager to ideate and create social content, and work with an Art Director/Copywriter team to elevate ideas into brand acts and elevated content. You help create and steward playbooks that define brand personalities, from passion points to tone of voice, ensuring each brand stands out in a rapidly evolving social media landscape. Your work will make a meaningful impact with a multi-talented North America team that blurs the lines of traditional advertising. Core Responsibilities
Social copywriting: write a range of content—from funny to inspiring—for social and digital channels, building consumer love and establishing cultural relevance. Content creation: write, edit, and publish engaging posts for various social networks. Social optimization: optimize posts’ language, tone, and message based on audience behavior and brand voice. Collaboration: work with a content creator on images and videos to complement text, and co-create a wide range of social post types and concepts. Brand presence creation: manage and update social media pages and profiles with on‑tone descriptions and news. AD copywriting: coordinate with internal teams to create advertising concepts. Community management: respond to questions and comments on social media pages promptly or transfer to social care or escalation teams for customer service issues. Experience & Skills
1+ years in a social team or creative department in a related role. Proven track record of writing for brands with significant followings, ideally for a CPG or lifestyle brand. University or college diploma in marketing, advertising, or a related field (preferred). History of working with creative teams and strategists, providing expertise and influencing brand strategy. Love and deep understanding of social culture and trends. Experience with a social media management platform (Sprout, Sprinklr, Khoros, etc.). Excellent presentation and communication skills in a group environment. Passion for food and food marketing. Desire to produce award‑winning, internationally recognized work. Salary
Anticipated annual salary range: $57,000–$65,000. Individual compensation varies based on location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package. Equal Employment Opportunity Statement
