Position Nurse Supervisor - Registered Nurse (RN) Nights

Location Select Specialty Hospital, San Diego

Schedule Night Shift: 3 x 12 Hour shifts per week, weekend rotation, rotating holidays

Compensation $58.72 - $78 per hour

Sign‑On Bonus $10,000

Responsibilities

Administer and supervise the clinical care being provided.

Responsible for all safety, infection control, and quality of care issues on duty; assist with performance appraisals, mentor staff during orientation, handle disciplinary issues.

Maximize management opportunities while on assigned shift.

Effectively manage resources and promote a team‑like atmosphere.

Comply with educational requirements while promoting a climate of learning.

Serve as a clinical resource for staff members.

Implement the staffing plan for your scheduled shift.

Participate as a productive member of the interdisciplinary team in assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the rehabilitation goals.

Interpret assessment/diagnostic data including labs.

Ensure that medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately.

Demonstrate competence in Rapid Response and code events.

Teach and counsel patients/families.

Minimum Qualifications

Valid State Registered Nurse (RN) License

BLS required at hire

ACLS required prior to completion of orientation

Preferred Qualifications

Long term acute care or subacute experience

EKG assessments and vasoactive drip competency

Charge nurse or leadership experience
