Overview The Data Analyst Project Manager serves as the primary client point of contact and owner of program outcomes while supporting the creation and delivery of project deliverables. You will orchestrate the research plan and reporting cadence, to ensure high-quality, on‑time delivery of insights, and translate findings into clear business recommendations that satisfy evolving client needs. You will partner closely with key client and internal stakeholders, while leading a small team of dedicated analysts, contribute hands‑on analysis while setting standards for data quality, storytelling, and impact.

Responsibilities What you will do

Help lead pieces of the business, managing several projects and workstreams to deliver award‑winning work on time and on budget

Serve as a creative, analytical mind on the team to provide strategic recommendations based on our advanced data analytics and methods

Be a data journalist by uncovering strategic findings and insights using a range of digital analytics techniques, such as social listening, to help support business objectives, identify trends and early warnings

Support efforts to compile, synthesize, and analyze data sets, as well as create reports and present to the client

Analyze content for trends and patterns that inform recommended actions

Leverage third‑party tools such as Brandwatch, Talkwalker, Meltwater, Cision, Critical Mentions and other tools, for analyzing results on a regular cadence (daily/monthly/quarterly) with minimal supervision

Provide leadership for the client’s analytics projects, planning, managing, leading, and presenting a wide variety of analysis from start to finish in close partnership with supporting analysts and account leads

Demonstrate masterful storytelling: mining and synthesizing varied sets of data for omnichannel views, displaying data visually and creatively, developing powerful presentations with concise, impactful narratives and timely, actionable learnings tied to business objectives

Analyze digital media content for trends and patterns that inform recommended actions

Think strategically and be insightful with the ability to tell a story that converts data into actionable insights

Understand client background and needs, including general business strategy, industry issues, products and services, key customers and competitors in the marketplace

Take initiative to proactively identify and solve challenges, collaborating with account leads to proposing new opportunities and optimizing workstreams

Develop rapport and a relationship of trust with key client personnel ranging from individual contributors to senior leadership, as well as internal account leads and supporting analysts

Stay updated on best‑in‑class measurements across social and earned media

Core Responsibilities

Client & Program Leadership

Serve as main POC for all program communications and escalations

Run weekly status calls; align on priorities, timelines, and success criteria

Manage scope, deliverable calendar (weekly, monthly, quarterly), and change requests

Oversee the assigned project team to ensure project deliverables are generated, complete, and delivered in accordance with the SOW

Build and maintain long‑term client relationships, including quarterly business reviews and performance reporting

Support organizational initiatives that enhance customer experience and long‑term client retention

Identify opportunities to upsell services or expand engagements with clients

Delivery & Quality

Contribute to reporting workload (e.g., data analysis, chart creation, insights generation, narrative framing, and executive summaries)

Review/QA all reports prior to delivery for accuracy, clarity, and alignment with the client’s objectives

Maintain a structured client feedback loop, documenting successes and failures for continuous improvement

Insights & Readouts

Lead executive‑level readouts (virtual & in‑person); tailor content to audience

Translate data to business impact, recommend actions, and secure next steps

Track and close all follow‑ups, owning cross‑functional coordination with the Data Analyst and any additional contributors

Become a SME within your assigned client project industries

Governance & Hygiene

Ensure documentation, version control, and on‑time filing of deliverables

Monitor client satisfaction; run quarterly relationship health checks

Qualifications

8+ years’ experience, within a Public Relations, Communications, Market Research, or Advertising agency preferably

6+ years in a client‑facing role (e.g., account management, consulting, research program management)

Bachelor's degree and a demonstrated passion for insights and analytics (Masters Preferred)

Strong technical background in SQL, Python, Spark, Hadoop, Oracle, Tableau, Quicksight, or PowerBI

Strong understanding of data and analytics concepts (e.g., governance, architecture, BI, advanced analytics)

Proven experience facilitating executive‑level meetings and in‑person presentations

Experience working with a variety of analytics platforms, translating data to measure campaign success, and providing data‑backed recommendations

Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, including executive‑level presentation development

Demonstrated ability to balance strategic leadership with hands‑on technical execution

Strong business acumen and ability to identify upsell/cross‑sell opportunities

Experience with large‑scale, complex datasets and building automated workflows

Ability to motivate and inspire teams through change, challenge, and high expectations

Experience working with data visualization tools and creative ways to display information

Keen eye for data trends and the ability to investigate and articulate factors that may account for these trends

Ability to interpret data and provide strategic insight to answer business needs

Traditional, social listening, and media measurement experience + deep Excel experience

Strong presentation and problem‑solving skills

Strong verbal and written communication, organizational and time‑management

Experience with industry tools (TalkWalker, Brandwatch, SimilarWeb Pro, ComScore, MOZ) and others

Critical thinking and problem‑solving skills

Able to prioritize and comfortable with and adaptive to change

Highly motivated and eager to learn
