Opportunity As a Senior Conflicts Analyst you will be a highly experienced core member of our large conflicts research staff. Your experience will allow you to assist with quality control monitoring and mentoring of less experienced colleagues. You will utilize Intapp Open conflicts software and online research tools to generate accurate reports on the firm’s prior involvement with parties involved in potential new business. You must be highly attentive to detail and have the ability to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment and must possess effective communication skills with the ability to work with all levels of staff and attorneys utilizing tact and diplomacy.
Responsibilities
Generate new business conflicts of interest reports according to department procedures, utilizing Intapp Open conflicts software and available online research tools.
As needed, generate conflicts of interest reports for lateral candidates in accordance with department procedures.
Have a working knowledge of all department standard operating procedures and understand conflict request workflow.
Understand basic conflicts of interest principles and legal terminology.
Demonstrate sound judgment in managing your assignments in relation to firm and department priorities.
Have the ability to interpret and analyze information, compiling, reviewing, filtering, synthesizing, and determining logical conclusions or recommendations based on varied data and information.
Be a self‑starter; able to work with a diverse team in a fast‑paced environment; and exercise independent judgment in performing all aspects of your assignments.
Perform preliminary analysis of conflict search results, for review by a Conflicts Attorney.
Review the work product of less experienced research staff for accuracy and completeness according to department standards, providing clear verbal and written instructions regarding the reason for department standards.
Assist the National Conflicts Manager in developing conflict workflow efficiencies.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree, highly preferred.
At least four years’ experience in conflicts in a law firm setting, required. Less experience may be considered for candidates with a JD.
Proficiency with relational conflicts databases, such as Intapp Open or LegalKey.
Proficiency in the use of online corporate research databases, such as Dun & Bradstreet and Capital IQ.
Proficiency with Microsoft programs including Outlook, Word, and Excel; the ability to learn new software is required. Experience working with PDF software is a plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
