Overview As a Senior Analyst in FSO EDGE State & Local Tax, you will deliver tax compliance and consulting services, recognize and resolve problem areas, and collaborate across practice areas to meet client needs.
Your Key Responsibilities
Analyze an evolving portfolio of complex tax operations to provide meaningful business insights.
Identify potential opportunities and risks and communicate these to our clients.
Research current market trends to maintain credibility as a trusted advisor.
Develop clear, intelligent plans and approaches to improve clients’ tax activities.
Research clients’ business operations and build long‑lasting relationships tailored to their needs.
Work with a motivated team of professionals.
Build effective long‑term relationships with our clients.
Maintain your reputation by constantly updating and sharing technical knowledge.
Skills and Attributes for Success Required
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related discipline or graduate degree in Tax or Law.
Progress toward CPA or Enrolled Agent license.
Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in professional services or tax organization.
Thorough understanding of automated tax processing systems and laws within your area of technical professionalism.
Excellent collaboration and negotiation skills, and confidence to challenge senior colleagues and stakeholders.
Commitment to continuing learning.
Preferred
Understanding of state and local partnership tax.
Proficiency in Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Experience with return preparation software.
Experience working in diverse teams.
Ability to adapt work style to internal and client team members.
