Our client is currently seeking a Test Development Engineer for a 12 month+ contract. The engineer will develop LabView-based Test Automation tools and data acquisition interfaces for characterization of mechatronic, fluidic, and thermal subsystems, work with Siemens LabView utilities, develop and prototype test hardware, integrate Siemens NX and Simcenter 3D Structures, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams. Responsibilities

Develop LabView-based Test Automation tools and Data Acquisition interfaces for characterization of mechatronic, fluidic, and thermal subsystems. Become familiar with Siemens LabView utilities for data acquisition and control of Siemens sensors and motors and integrate these libraries into LabView code. Develop and prototype test hardware. Customize sequences and test definitions to run specialized tests and designs of experiments on Siemens instruments. Work with systems/software engineers to implement software patches and push them to test instruments. Contribute to developing prototypes and test platforms for new design concepts and collaborate with mechatronics specialists and design/test engineers. Participate in design reviews with cross‑functional teams and actively identify potential technical problems, providing effective solutions through innovative thinking. Qualifications

Bachelors/Masters in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Biomedical Engineering. Expert-level proficiency with NI LabView-based Data Acquisition, Instrument Control, and Test Automation. Experience with basic-to-intermediate level CAD-based mechanical design of test hardware and fixtures. Familiarity with Siemens NX CAD software and Simcenter 3D Structures. Knowledge of signal analysis, basic electrical circuit theory, and mechanical fundamentals. Experience with statistical methods, Design of Experiments, and data analysis. Strong system‑thinking approach to problem solving and proven teamwork in multi‑disciplinary environments. Relevant industry experience in medical, aerospace, automotive, factory automation, robotics, and precision instruments (2–15+ years preferred).
