The Senior Accountant to provide leadership in accounting and analysis in a variety of initiatives. This position reports to the Controller and will work closely with other divisions in a collaborative environment. This person will be exposed to budgeting, forecasting and analysis, as well as performing day‑to‑day accounting functions, including financial statement preparation, general ledger management, month‑end close and other reporting needs.
Responsibilities
Maintain a complete and accurate general ledger in accordance with GAAP for multiple entities.
Plan, direct, and coordinate ledger maintenance, report preparation, and operating financial statistics.
Analyze financial data to provide the complete, accurate and timely financial statements.
Maintain and compile necessary audit schedules for the annual financial audits.
Identify improvements to existing accounting processes.
Evaluate, develop, document and implement effective accounting procedures and controls.
Reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts to general ledger by researching discrepancies and determining appropriate course of action.
Manage month‑end billing and revenue review.
Prepare, post and monitor recurring and non‑recurring journal entries ensuring information is accurate and up to date.
Research and document various accounting methods.
Qualifications
Accounting Major with a solid academic record.
CPA preferred.
Creative problem solving.
Strong technology skills including Excel.
Exceptional organizational skills.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative work environment and independently.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, and business solutions software skills.
