About the Role We're seeking a Frontend Engineer with strong design implementation skills to join our engineering team. In this role, you'll lead the development of user-facing applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams to create intuitive, performant interfaces. You'll drive end-to-end implementation of frontend features, establish component architecture, and ensure our applications deliver exceptional user experiences.
Location: This role is 100% on-site at our Corporate Headquarters in New York City.
Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain sophisticated React applications for our insurance platform
Translate requirements and Figma designs into production-ready code
Develop reusable component libraries and establish frontend architecture patterns
Collaborate across teams to define feature specifications and technical requirements
Implement responsive interfaces that work seamlessly across devices
Create data visualization components and interactive reporting interfaces
Maintain comprehensive documentation of component libraries and coding standards
Partner with backend engineers to define API contracts and data requirements
Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices
Required Skills and Experience
3+ years of professional frontend development experience
Experience with Tailwind CSS or similar utility-first CSS frameworks
Demonstrated ability to translate Figma designs into pixel-perfect implementations
Solid understanding of responsive design principles and mobile-first development
Experience with state management solutions (Redux, Zustand, or similar)
Knowledge of frontend build tools and bundlers (Webpack, Vite, etc.)
Familiarity with testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library, Playwright)
Understanding of web performance optimization techniques
Experience consuming RESTful APIs and handling asynchronous data
Nice to Have
Experience with module federation and micro-frontend architectures
Knowledge of design systems and component documentation tools (Storybook)
Familiarity with backend technologies and full stack development
Experience in InsurTech or financial services applications
Background in UI/UX design or design tools beyond Figma
Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG) and implementation
