Position Summary: The Part-Time Clinical Director (RN) provides clinical oversight for the Virginia home care program, ensuring all services meet regulatory, clinical, and quality standards. Responsibilities include developing care plans, supervising field staff, conducting clinical assessments, reviewing documentation, and maintaining strict compliance with Virginia Medicaid and home care regulations. The role supports the launch and early development of the new Virginia service area.
Key Responsibilities
Provide clinical leadership and oversight for personal care and home care services.
Ensure compliance with Virginia Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS) requirements and all state home care regulations.
Complete initial assessments, reassessments, supervisory visits, and clinical evaluations as required.
Develop, update, and approve individualized care plans.
Review clinical documentation for accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance.
Provide clinical guidance to caregivers, including performance evaluation and corrective action when needed.
Coordinate with branch leadership on client issues, incidents, escalations, and service quality concerns.
Support caregiver training programs, competency evaluations, and clinical skill development.
Participate in audits, quality improvement initiatives, and policy development.
Maintain accurate, timely electronic documentation of all clinical activities.
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Virginia.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in Home Care, Home Health, Long-Term Care, or related healthcare settings.
Strong understanding of Virginia home care regulations, Medicaid requirements, and clinical documentation standards.
Proven ability to supervise caregivers and ensure adherence to care plans.
Excellent clinical judgment, communication skills, and attention to detail.
Reliable transportation and ability to conduct field visits as required.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience as a Clinical Director, Director of Nursing (DON), RN Supervisor, or similar leadership role.
Knowledge of EVV systems, Medicaid MCO processes, and waiver programs.
Bilingual skills (Spanish/English) helpful but not required.
