We are seeking a compliance attorney to join the Arm Legal team with our Ethics and Compliance function in San Jose, CA. This is an opportunity to join our business at an exciting time as Arm’s business continues to grow, along with the importance of our brands. Reporting to Arm’s Chief Compliance Officer, you will be a licensed attorney and compliance‑minded professional familiar with the wide range of ethics and compliance issues relevant to companies in the semiconductor industry, but with expertise in supply chain and third‑party risk issues.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain a comprehensive compliance program with a foundation based on the Responsible Business Alliance Code of Conduct for global supply chain operations, monitoring relevant laws, conducting legal risk assessments, and advising upon supplier adherence.
Provide Ethics and Compliance expertise on sustainability matters, with an emphasis on issues impacting the semiconductor industry and reporting frameworks such as the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive, Conflict Minerals Reporting Template, and relevant California standards. Advise on legal and compliance considerations necessary to ensure adherence to frameworks that support sustainable purchasing practices.
Advise on compliance with specific regulations and initiatives related to semiconductor supply chains, such as the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act (UFLPA) and anti‑forced labor measures.
Serve as the primary Ethics and Compliance advisor for the Quality and Standards teams, interpreting relevant ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 27001, ISO 14001) and developing Ethics and Compliance metrics for reporting to governance bodies.
Advise from an Ethics and Compliance perspective on due diligence assessments of corporate supply chains, risk mitigation strategies, and opportunities to improve security, sustainability, and resilience.
Collaborate with internal and external partners, including Sustainability, Engineering, corporate functions, external counsel, Procurement, and logistics teams on compliance and sustainability initiatives.
Work with E&C colleagues on the evolution and administration of the Company’s Conflict of Interest Program, focusing on program execution, risk identification, trend analysis, and deployment of metrics.
Qualifications
Juris Doctorate and a minimum of 6–8 years of experience advising multinational businesses on supply chain, third‑party risk, and sustainability matters.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to deliver practical, compliance advice aligned to Arm’s strategy and culture in a clear, solutions‑focused manner.
Proactive, adaptable, comfortable with autonomy, yet collaborative in approach.
Nice to Have Skills and Experience
In‑house experience at a global corporation is helpful, but we welcome candidates with a strong ethics and compliance background who can demonstrate program‑building abilities.
Experience using in‑house vendor management risk platforms.

Salary Range $246,500‑$333,500 per year
