Overview Stocks anesthesia supplies, provides assistance to Anesthesiologists, and assists with room turnover. Promotes and maintains a safe work environment for staff as well as our customers, incorporating national patient safety initiatives.
What You Will Do
Prepares, gathers, and cleans equipment and supplies needed to administer anesthesia to patients prior to surgery.
Provides assistance to the Anesthesiologist.
Ensures availability of resources (equipment, instruments, supplies) necessary to ensure positive patient outcomes. Maintains clean, safe, and orderly work/patient environment by cleaning work stations/areas, equipment; stocking supplies; placing equipment in proper storage areas.
Establishes an environment of safety and assures safe practice for the patient as evidenced by recognizing and implementing accrediting body Patient Safety Goals and Quality Standards. Follows RHS policies and procedures and complies with regulatory agency requirements. Recognizes emergency situations and responds competently.
Assists with room turnover.
Qualifications Education
High School Diploma or GED, (Preferred)
Experience
1 year Experience in acute care setting (Preferred)
Licenses and Certifications
Certified Nurse Aid (CNA) - Virginia Department of Health Professions (VDHP) (Preferred)
CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) (Required)
