As a Director of Strategic Partnerships, you will be responsible for finding new strategic partnerships within the payroll, payments and ISV ecosystems (e.g., CPAs, financial institutions, brokers, etc.) and managing the negotiation process for partner agreements. You will maintain intimate knowledge of current and future products to scope potential partnerships, negotiate contracts, engage and develop deep relationships, assist in deployment execution, and promote growth across a cross‑functional team. The successful candidate will have experience hunting prospective partners and managing a healthy pipeline.
Responsibilities
Meet and exceed sales targets and call quotas
Act as representative at trade shows
Conduct C‑level presentations
Proficient in contract strategy, finance and legal
Maintain partner interaction records and process new partner account documents
Update and maintain accurate data in the CRM system
Build and maintain partner relationships, both internal and external
Gain an understanding of product solutions and conduct a complete demonstration within 60 days of hire
Participate in training and educational activities to meet minimum requirements
Practice and comply with regulations promoting a safe and healthy work environment (OSHA)
Adhere to privacy and confidentiality policies (HIPAA)
Perform related projects and duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience equivalent
Experience in Communication, English, Sales or related fields
Minimum 8 years relevant experience preferred
Experience in the Financial Technology industry
Familiarity with CRM systems and practices
Desired Skills & Capabilities
Broad expertise or unique knowledge to contribute to company objectives and goals
Ability to work on significant and unique issues, exercising independent judgment
Experience forming formal networks coordinating internal and external groups
Independently determine methods and procedures for new or special assignments
Strong negotiation skills for closing deals
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for building relationships across teams
Presentation skills for sales presentations and processes to clients
