The Military Veteran
Chief of Staff for PE Operating Company
The Opportunity:
Chief of Staff for PE Operating Company
Company Overview:
TheMilVet is partnered with PE clients who are consolidating fragmented industries across America. These are industries that have no national presence or brands that dominate the market. Our PE partners create value through consolidation and quickly scaling the core business in a high growth environment. As an example, a sister PortCo in this fund grew its revenue from $0 to $2B in 4 years and after 300+ acquisitions. For more information about his strategy, we’ve included an article from the Harvard Business Review.
Private Equity Needs a New Talent Strategy
Our clients enter a market through acquisition, hire a leader to be its champion for growth, client retention, client engagement, and strong customer service [the Chief of Staff], and begin to rapidly scale the local market. As the new market grows, they search for other local complementary businesses to tie under the leadership team, and new tools, processes, and methods of doing business that will eventually increase overall revenue.
This PE client is a top-decile private equity fund with a long history of successful investments in professional, residential, and tech services. This specific opportunity is with a new holding company focused on acquiring property management and HOA organizations.
Their executive leaders who are building this firm are experienced operators and represent an all-star team. Past leadership hires for other portfolio companies have included high performing Veterans with strong leadership skills and next‑level execution abilities.
