About the Role The Product Director for MenuWorks is a senior strategic leader responsible for defining, evolving, and executing the product vision and roadmap for MenuWorks—Compass Group’s enterprise menu management and culinary planning platform. This role ensures MenuWorks continues to meet the operational, culinary, compliance, and client‑facing needs of Compass sectors while driving innovation, user engagement, and business value. You will partner closely with culinary teams, sector operators, digital, engineering, data, and client stakeholders to deliver a platform that improves accuracy, efficiency, and guest experience. The Product Director is accountable for product strategy, customer insights, backlog prioritization, cross‑functional alignment, and delivery outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and own the long‑term product strategy and roadmap for MenuWorks aligned with Compass Group’s enterprise digital ecosystem.
Define a clear vision for how MenuWorks supports menu management, recipe governance, nutrition and allergen compliance, cost control, and digital experiences.
Identify opportunities for innovation, platform modernization, automation, and integrations.
Serve as the primary voice of the customer; sector operators, culinary teams, digital partners, and clients.
Lead structured discovery, including interviews, data analysis, and field feedback to identify pain points and opportunities.
Maintain strong relationships with cross‑functional leaders to ensure product direction aligns with operational realities and business goals.
Translate strategy into actionable roadmaps, epics, and user stories based on measurable outcomes.
Partner with engineering, UX, and data teams to ensure timely and high‑quality delivery of product releases.
Prioritize the backlog using data‑driven rationale that balances technical constraints, business value, and customer needs.
Oversee development cycles, sprint planning, and release management for MenuWorks enhancements.
Provide strategic leadership to product managers, analysts, and cross‑functional project teams supporting MenuWorks.
Communicate product priorities, progress, and impacts to executives and operational partners.
Champion a culture of continuous improvement, user‑centered design, and product‑led thinking across Compass Group.
Define KPIs for MenuWorks adoption, data quality, operational efficiency, and platform engagement.
Deliver insights to guide product decisions and ensure ROI on new features.
Monitor competitive and industry trends in menu management, food technology, and digital hospitality.
Qualifications
8+ years of product management experience, including 3+ years in a senior or director‑level role leading enterprise application or operational platforms.
Proven experience managing complex, data‑rich, multi‑user applications.
Strong knowledge of agile product development methodologies.
Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to translate technical concepts into business language and operational impacts.
Demonstrated success driving product strategy, roadmaps, and cross‑functional execution.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in foodservice, hospitality, retail, or enterprise menu/recipe management platforms.
Background working in large matrixed organizations or multi‑brand environments.
Familiarity with nutrition, allergen, procurement, and POS system integrations.
Experience developing user‑centered digital tools for operators and/or consumers.
Competencies

Data‑informed decision‑making and strong analytical mindset.
Excellent facilitation skills—able to align diverse stakeholders.
