Base pay range
$150,000.00/yr - $300,000.00/yr
Location – Hybrid: Santa Clara, CA (4x days onsite/1x day remote)
Required Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering
- 8+ years of experience in data science or a related field
- Proficiency in Python
- Experience with data analysis and visualization tools (Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, or Seaborn)
- Solid understanding of machine learning algorithms and techniques
- Familiarity with deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow or PyTorch)
- Experience with NLP and large language models (LLMs) is a plus
Day-to-Day: The Data Scientist will join the Machine Learning team to support a wide range of data-driven initiatives across networking, security, and language-related use cases. This role involves working with cross-functional teams to uncover insights, solve complex problems, and deploy scalable machine learning solutions.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) and use visualization techniques to communicate insights
- Ingest, clean, preprocess, and transform data for modeling; handle missing values, outliers, and inconsistencies
- Label datasets for classification tasks and prepare data pipelines
- Build, train, and evaluate machine learning models including CNNs, XGBoost, Transformers, Graph ML, Time Series models, and LLMs
- Collaborate with engineering teams to deploy models using formats such as ONNX and GGUF; apply model quantization and evaluation techniques
- Solve complex data challenges using critical thinking and analytical skills
- Work closely with data engineers, analysts, and domain experts to translate business needs into actionable insights
