Job Description
We are seeking a senior level Network Engineer to design, deploy, configure, and manage a broad spectrum of network and security infrastructure. The role includes responsibility for WAN, data center, campus, wireless, firewalls, routers, switches, network monitoring tools, and VPN solutions. Experience with data center relocations and new campus network design is highly valued.
Responsibilities
1. Network Design & Documentation
- Develop and update network diagrams for campus, data center, lab, and office environments.
- Create and maintain high-quality documentation for WAN, LAN, wireless, data center, and firewall designs.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency across all network documentation.
2. Implementation & Commissioning
- Install, configure, and test routers, switches, firewalls, wireless controllers, access points, and related software.
- Validate hardware, software, and network connectivity to ensure proper performance.
3. Operations & Maintenance
- Perform scheduled maintenance, including software/firmware upgrades and hardware refresh.
- Follow corporate change control processes and enforce security policies.
- Maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and operational checklists.
4. Incident & Problem Management
- Troubleshoot and resolve critical incidents within defined SLAs.
- Provide after‑hours on‑call support for service restoration and equipment repair.
5. Project Management
- Define project scope, budget, schedule, test plans, and delivery requirements.
- Lead complex technical projects with minimal supervision and conduct peer reviews of release plans.
6. Team Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing
- Collaborate effectively within cross‑functional teams.
- Maintain accurate documentation and support knowledge‑sharing efforts.
7. Communication
- Communicate clearly with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, or Associate degree plus CCIE written exam.
- Current CCNP certification; strong ambition to pursue the full CCIE.
- Minimum 10 years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting complex network infrastructures.
Technical Skills
- Deep knowledge of Cisco Catalyst and Nexus platforms, Cisco IOS/NX-OS, and Arista EOS.
- Advanced expertise in routing and switching protocols: OSPF, BGP, STP, VRF, IPv4 subnetting.
- Strong security background: 802.1X, PEAP-MSCHAPv2, TACACS, SYSLOG, Palo Alto NGFW, Panorama, IPsec VPN.
- Hands‑on experience with Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers, ISE, and access points; ability to conduct wireless site surveys.
- Proficiency with monitoring tools (SolarWinds) and IP services (Infoblox DHCP/DNS).
- Experience managing Cisco UCS environments with virtual machine orchestration.
