Job Description
The Accounting Manager will lead a team responsible for key accounting processes, including accruals, prepaids, foreign currency transactions, and other complex areas. This role requires strong technical accounting expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate across functions such as FP&A, Treasury, and Legal. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and thrives in a fast-paced environment with a focus on continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and develop a team of accounting professionals.
Oversee monthly and quarterly close activities, including:
Accruals (general, legal, project-specific)
AIP (Annual Incentive Plan) and True‑Up calculations
Severance and deferred compensation accounting
Prepaid expense accounting and coordination with FP&A
Review and approve cash reconciliations prepared by team members.
Ensure accuracy and reasonableness of expense analysis.
Provide foreign currency expertise for global transactions.
Partner with FP&A and other stakeholders to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Drive process improvements and support ERP implementation initiatives.
Maintain compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA or equivalent highly preferred.
7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and experience with complex accruals and compensation accounting.
Strong experience implementing or upgrading financial systems.
Experience with foreign currency transactions and multi‑entity environments.
Detail‑oriented, process‑driven, and skilled at creating structure in fast‑paced environments.
Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
Work Location & Flexibility
Located near our Minneapolis office, this role follows a hybrid work model. Employees work on‑site a minimum of two days per week, with additional in‑office days potentially required based on team collaboration needs or operational priorities.
Salary
The base salary range is $99,000.00 – $172,700.00. Compensation offers may vary based on region, skills, qualifications, and experience.
