Job Summary: The Veterans Health Administration is seeking a skilled and dedicated General Surgeon to join our team in Reno, Nevada. As a General Surgeon at the VA, you will provide comprehensive surgical care to our nation's veterans, performing a range of procedures to treat injuries, diseases, and deformities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct outpatient and inpatient surgical consultations.
- Perform a variety of general surgical procedures.
- Collaborate and coordinate care with interdisciplinary team members to ensure best patient outcomes.
- Provide preoperative and postoperative care to surgical patients.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical research, as applicable.
Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship or legal eligibility to work in the United States.
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Board certification or board eligibility in General Surgery.
- A valid and unrestricted medical license to practice in any U.S. state or territory.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
