JCW has partnered with a growing regional bank in their search for a SVP, Senior Credit Officer to support the expansion of their Middle Market and C&I lending platform in South Florida. This senior-level, direct contributor role is based in Miami and requires an onsite presence 5 days per week, with potential flexibility to transition to a hybrid setup. The focus is on handling large, complex transactions across Florida, with flexibility to pursue strategic deals out of state when appropriate. Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the lead credit officer on middle market and C&I transactions of $20MM+.
  • Collaborate closely with relationship teams to assess credit risk, structure deals, and support long-term client growth.
  • Contribute to strategic deal review, credit policy application, and market coverage across Florida.
  • Help shape the credit approach as the South Florida office grows its corporate presence.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of commercial credit and lending experience focused on middle market and C&I clients.
  • Background at a large bank ($15B+ in assets) is strongly preferred (e.g., IDB, BankUnited, PNC, Huntington).
  • Industry experience in manufacturing, business services, distribution, healthcare, or transportation.
  • Strong knowledge of credit structuring, policy, and risk evaluation for complex deals.

Compensation: $200,000 – $250,000 base (up to $275,000 total) + discretionary bonus
