The Legal Support Clerk performs a variety of journey-level specialized clerical support duties in the justice system, such as preparing and processing specialized paperwork, providing information to the public and other agencies, and responding to concerns from the public and other agencies.

We Require Two years of experience performing specialized clerical such as: drafting memos and correspondence, gathering data for reports,and providing customer service duties
High school diploma or GED
We Also Value Clerical/customer service experience in a law office, judicial, or law enforcement environment
Job Contributions Locate, order, pull, create, and organize case files
Enter and retrieve case information from various databases, including Motor Vehicle Department, Justice Court database, and Superior Court database, among others
Perform statistical data collection and tracking, and prepare various correspondence
Assist in entering case disposition entries
Research persons' information in state and national criminal history databases
Maintain a current TOC with Department of Public Safety
Enter data in case management system using information provided by law enforcement
Assist in scanning and uploading case files and documents, such as certified criminal history records
Working Conditions Work is mostly performed in a high-volume, fast-paced legal office environment
Requires long periods of sitting while completing computer activities
May require travel to and from job-related locations during a scheduled workday, subject to County policies regarding the use of County vehicles and/or private vehicles used on County business
Ability to lift boxes and/or pull mailcart weighing 25 - 40 pounds
Hybrid and alternative work schedules are available upon successful completion of the 6-12-month probationary period
