800 Washington St, Boston, MA 02111, USA Job Description Posted Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at 5:00 AM Position Summary The role of Supply Chain Tech is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the supply chain process. Responsibilities Maintain familiarity with each supply item, including nomenclature, unit of measure, and product family, and communicate effectively with clinical staff. Utilize equipment to replenish all supply items daily and provide feedback on stock shortages; communicate usage trends, shortages, picking errors, and damaged items to supervision and the clinical areas. Monitor the environment, ensuring that all activities related to the supply chain process comply with safety regulations and company policies, including JCAHO. Access the hospital computer system to communicate with staff about supply and equipment changes. Review Materials Matters to ensure compliance with clinical product changes. Initiate, track, and verify receipt of supply orders. Ensure all necessary information about inventory issuance and returns is entered accurately into the MMIS; calculate unit of measure conversion rates. Contact customers daily to monitor any service concerns that individual departments may be experiencing relative to supply chain management. Maintain a neat, orderly work environment in each of the clinical areas serviced, including rotation of stock, validation of expiration dates, disposal of refuse, adherence to storage requirements, and neatening of existing stock; keep areas free of fire and safety hazards. Create weekly reports for the areas serviced and provide them to supervision; provide metrics to include service calls, validation of supply costs, stock turns, and expiration date validation. Further knowledge and skills through attendance and participation at conferences, seminars, and in‑service programs. Qualifications Years of Experience: Entry Level Education Requirement: High school diploma or equivalent Language Skills: Proficient in English, both verbally and written Requirements You must be 18 or older to apply. Ability to pass a criminal background check. Maintain a professional and polite manner. Adheres to VPNE’s attendance policy. Two (2) years of customer relations, materials management, or closely related experience. Experience in a healthcare setting, preferred. The ability to read and understand written instructions. Basic mathematical skills. The ability to interpret requests and successfully follow through to completion. The ability to communicate professionally and effectively, and express ideas clearly using appropriate and efficient methods for conveying accurate information.
