Key Responsibilities

Analyze non-functional requirements and create detailed performance test plans and strategies.

Design, develop, and execute load, stress, endurance, spike, scalability, and volume tests.

Use performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, Neoload, Gatling, BlazeMeter, etc.

Monitor system behavior during tests using APM tools (e.g., Dynatrace, AppDynamics, New Relic, Grafana, Kibana).

Identify performance bottlenecks related to CPU, memory, database, network, and application code.

Work with development, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to analyze issues and implement fixes.

Prepare detailed performance test results, reports, and recommendations.

Develop automated performance test scripts and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps).

Conduct root cause analysis for performance issues and propose optimization solutions.

Ensure performance testing best practices and governance are followed across the project lifecycle.

Required Skills & Experience

38+ years of hands-on experience in performance testing.

Strong expertise in performance testing tools:

o JMeter, LoadRunner (Vugen), Neoload, or similar.

Experience with monitoring & APM tools:

o Dynatrace, AppDynamics, New Relic, Grafana/Prometheus.

Good understanding of protocols, web services, APIs (REST/SOAP).

Knowledge of scripting languages such as Java, JavaScript, Python, or LoadRunner scripting.

Experience working with databases (SQL queries, performance checks).

Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP) and containerization (Docked, Kubernetes) is a plus.

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Excellent communication and documentation abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

Certification in performance testing (Neoload, LoadRunner, JMeter) is a plus.

Experience in testing microservices, distributed systems, or cloud-native applications.

Prior experience in implementing shift-left performance testing.

Education

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
