Position Overview We are seeking a seasoned Senior Data Governance Analyst to strengthen our global data governance and compliance framework across a diverse portfolio of consumer products and markets. This role will help ensure that our enterprise data is accurate, secure, standardized, and trusted - enabling smarter decisions and innovation across all business functions, including supply chain, marketing, sales, finance, and R&D. Reporting to the VP of Data, you will partner with data owners, data stewards, business stakeholders, and IT Teams across regions to define policies, improve data quality, and ensure compliance with global data privacy regulations.
Requirements 5+ years of experience in data governance, data management, master data management, or analytics within a complex, data-driven environment (CPG, manufacturing, supply chain, and working with trading partner and third-party self-reporting solutions is preferred).
Bachelor's degree in data science, computer science, or other data-focused programs preferred.
Certifications in Data Management and/or Analytics preferred.
Privacy and Compliance framework experience in GDPR, CCPA, and/or FDA requirements.
Functional experience working with data from various global markets, such as but not limited to EMEA, APAC, China, Canada, MX, etc.
Proficiency in databases and data manipulation using advanced Excel skills, SQL, and visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau, required.
Functional experience using Alteryx, Microsoft Fabric Notebooks, Power Query, and or other low-code/no-code data transformation and ETL tools, preferred. Emerging AI & data-oriented workflow tools a plus.
Familiarity with data governance or cataloging tools, such as Informatica, Collibra, Alation or equivalent.
Familiarity of Python, C#, or Java is a plus.
Strong understanding of data governance frameworks, data lineage, and data quality management principles.
Experience defining and implementing governance policies, defining business logic and rules, and stewardship models.
Highly analytical with the ability to interpret large datasets, identify anomalies, and automate processes.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across business and technical teams.
Self-starter with strong organizational skills, capable of prioritizing multiple initiatives in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Key Responsibilities Data Governance: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain master data, with preventative data governance controls, frameworks, and entitlements management.
Define and document data ownership, stewardship roles, and governance workflows.
Establish standards for master & transactional data, metadata, lineage, and business data dictionary.
Data Quality Management: Monitor and address data quality exceptions, ensuring accuracy and consistency across key business domains (e.g., products, customers, supplier).
Develop proactive controls and Service Level Agreements for data quality.
Partner with business stakeholders to prioritize and remediate recurring data issues.
Change Management & Cataloging: Lead the establishment of Celsius' enterprise Data Catalog and structured workflows for data change requests, approvals, and downstream impact assessments.
Document data models and lineage to support transparency and auditability.
Automation & Analytics of Data Governance Activities: Automate manual reporting and reconciliation processes using SQL, Power BI, or similar tools.
Develop dashboards for monitoring data quality, governance KPIs, and operations risk.
Operational Efficiency: Drive efficiency by automating exception monitoring, resolution, and reconciliation workflows.
Reduce manual dependency while improving data accuracy and responsiveness.
Cross-System Integration: Collaborate with technology teams to resolve data integration and reconciliation issues across ERP, CRM, and other integrated systems.
Ensure seamless data flow and synchronization with downstream systems.
Historical Data Validation: Partner with business and technology stakeholders to validate and backfill historical data.
Ensure data completeness and accuracy during system migrations or model rebuilds.
